Can I Help You Find the Perfect Learning Toy?
Probably many of those listed right? Have you ever experienced frustrations with your good intentions of buying these great learning toys? Many people, including me, have. Here is a typical situation:
Suppose you found an AWESOME educational toy store or maybe you’ve sat through a Discovery Toy presentation in someone’s home and you caught the vision of educational toys! You go hog wild and pick up some REALLY GREAT toys, puzzles, games, and books! The money spent is pocket change compared to the effect these toys will have on your kids. They are going to be SOOOO SMART!
| You show them to your child.
She seems just as excited as you are!
YEAH! A month or
two passes and you realize you’ve seen these toys and games get played with
only once, maybe twice since. HMMM.
You look at these educational products and they really look great to you.
They are, after all, award-winning toys.
Maybe they just weren’t assessable to your child.
You know, “out of sight out of mind.”
So you get ambitious and reorganize your closets and shelves to put these
totally awesome educational toys right there in front of your child.
That should do the trick!
Another month or two passes and still these toys, games and puzzles are getting passed up! What is the deal? Surely your not THAT old and don’t know a fun toy when you see one. I guess you could look on the bright side, you aren’t tripping over them every other day! |

| Learning Toys! |
Here, I’ll let you in on a little secret…kids play with the things THEY are interested in which may not be the same as what YOU are interested in. I have to commend you, your intentions were great but the results fell short and now you have just spent a ton of money to fill some shelf space! Hurray!
Now what? Well, if you could try to return them but it might be too late for that. You could try to recover some of that money you spent on them and list the items out on eBay. After all they are nearly brand new and they are great child educational toys. Then come visit our educational toy store and let me help you find the educational toys that YOUR CHILD will LOVE! Keeping in mind that your child plays with the things HE or SHE is interested in.
Here are some basic steps to picking the best educational toy:
For Example:
| Activity | Child Ranking | Learning Category | Parent | Child |
| Read books | 2 | Math | 1 | 6 |
| Building blocks | 14 | Reading | 2 | 1 |
| Computer Games | 1 | Science | 7 | 2 |
| Watch movies | 8 | Deduction | 6 | 7 |
| Sing | 3 | Creativity | 3 | 3 |
| Cook | 7 | Physical Activity | 4 | 5 |
| Jewelry | 6 | Second Language | 5 | 4 |
| Paint | 4 | Etc. | ||
| Climb on things | 5 | |||
| Play a sport | 10 | |||
| Dolls | 9 | |||
| Cars | 11 | |||
| Trucks | 13 | |||
| Trains | 12 | |||
| Etc. |
As I look at this list I can see that my child ranks reading books for a pass time as 2nd on her list of things she likes to do. She also thinks that reading is good to learn more about. Therefore, if I pick up educational toy or game that has to do with reading, whether to enhance reading or educate, it’s going to get used.
Another thing these lists show me is that if I want my child to improve in math a good choice would be a math computer game. Had I chosen a math building block set it would have been a shelf ornament and not useful at all.
These are easy observations you can do to help make the most out of every educational toy purchase. We are more than happy to help, please visit us at www.4theKidsToyStore.com.
